A pond liner is an impermeable geomembrane used for retention of liquids, including the lining of reservoirs, retention basins, hazardous and nonhazardous surface impoundments, garden ponds and artificial streams in parks and gardens. Pond liners are basically waterproof fabric that is designed to prevent water from seeping through to the ground. Pond liners are predominantly made from PVC, HDPE, Butyl, EPDM, and rubber. They can be hard or soft, shaped or sheet. Ponds are basically used to store rain water which is a natural resource and during the rainy season, there is plenty of rainfall that could fill a pond of desired capacity. The water then could be used later for irrigation or for cattle.
